Saskatoon & Region Home Builders’ Association Invites Expressions of Interest to Fill Director Vacancies
The Saskatoon & Region Home Builders’ Association is the professional association representing approximately 275 companies involved in the housing industry and provides the only two certifications available for the home builder and renovator professions. It is the expert voice focused on improving affordability, quality and choice of housing in Saskatoon and area, and works collaboratively with stakeholders and governments to get us there.

The Position
The Board of Directors is inviting expressions of interest to fill two to four Director vacancies.
The Board identifies Director skillsets through an annual skills matrix analysis. The analysis identifies areas of membership representation and particular skills and experiences desired to enhance the governing table. The Nomination Committee is then tasked to recruit potential Director candidates based on this matrix
While all expressions of interest are encouraged, the following membership representation would be considered assets:
- Builder – medium size (6-46 units/year)
- Service & Trade
- Sub-Trade
- Developer
The following skills and experience would also be considered assets:
- Board & governance experience or designations
- Professional engineering designation
- CEO or GM experience
The Term
Director positions are two-year terms, renewable to a maximum of five times. Successful candidates would be introduced on the slate of nominees during the Association’s next Annual General Meeting, in April 2020.
