Meet the Presenters
Nathan Stone – President – Canadian Home Builders’ Association
Nathan began working in the industry as a labourer in high school, followed by an apprenticeship in carpentry, and then working up to project manager and site supervisor. In 2006, Nathan, along with his brother Heath, started their own building company with the founding of Odessa Group, a developer-builder in Chilliwack, BC., where Nathan serves as Managing Partner of Operations.
Nathan’s involvement with the CHBA began with CHBA Fraser Valley where he served on the Board, and as the local President. In 2009, Nathan joined the Board of CHBA-BC as Second Vice President. He took on many roles at the provincial level, including Chair of the Provincial Education Committee and representing BC on CHBA’s Professional Development Committee. Nathan served as CHBA-BC president in 2012.
During his time on CHBA’s Executive Committee starting in 2014, Nathan played an active part in the revitalization of the Association. He particularly enjoyed his advocacy work on behalf of members, and the opportunity to meet with industry colleagues from across the country through Association events.
Mike Linehan – Vice-President & National Head – RBC Mortgage Specialists
As Vice-President and National Head of RBC Mortgage Specialists, Mike is responsible for mortgage acquisition within RBC’s Career Sales Force. The mortgage team exceeds 1500 employees who annually originate and support well in excess of $40 Billion dollars in residential mortgages and Royal Credit Line’s. In addition, Mike is responsible for the execution of mortgage acquisition strategies relating to development and optimization of point of sale strategies. These include key Realtor and Builder initiatives, along with other origination sources for RBC. Michael started his career in financial services in 1986 and first joined RBC in 2001. He has specialized in the residential mortgage field throughout his career holding executive roles with responsibility in strategy, marketing, origination, and securitization.
Mike holds a MBA from Royal Roads University in Victoria BC, and a Masters in Human Development from Fielding Graduate University in Santa Barbara, California. Mike also holds a PhD in Organizational Development from Fielding Graduate University. His doctoral expertise focuses on the inherent human desire to garner purpose and meaning from one’s work.
Goodson Mwale – Senior Analyst (Economics) – Office of the VP, Housing Markets & Indicators – CMHC
As CMHC’s Senior Market Analyst for Saskatchewan, Goodson is primarily responsible for the analysis and forecasts of the Regina and Saskatoon housing markets. In addition, Goodson works closely with CMHC’s regional economist in developing the provincial economic and housing market forecasts. Prior to joining CMHC, Goodson worked in the private sector both in Canada and abroad, in fields including capital markets research and management consulting.
Goodson holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Zambia and a Master of Arts degree in Economic Policy Management from McGill University.
Brad Zurevinski – General Manager – Dream Development
Brad Zurevinski is the General Manager for Dream Development in Saskatoon, responsible for managing our consultants and contractors responsible for the planning, detailed design and construction of Dream’s master planned communities in Saskatoon. Prior to joining Dream, Mr. Zurevinski managed the Saskatoon Urban Development group for a national consulting engineering firm. Mr. Zurevinski is a Professional Engineer and holds a Bachelor of Civil Engineering from the University of Saskatchewan.
